Shane Grady, President is a CPA, CFP®
tax professional with Boal and Associates, PC
(Oakland, MD) and owner of the Grand Central
Furniture and Gift Stores (4 locations throughout
Garrett County), Four All Seasons Gift Shop
(Deep Creek Lake), and CN Metals, LLC (Oakland)
resides in Oakland with his wife, Darlena, and
two children, Alexx and Landon. Shane is a board
member of the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce,
the Maryland State Chamber of Commerce, the
Western Maryland Chapter of the Maryland Association
of Certified Public Accountants, and the Garrett
Charter School Iniative, Inc.

Ms. Colleen
Peterson, Secretary
is the Executive Director of The Greater
Cumberland Committee. She has served as
Vice President of University Advancement
at Frostburg State University and
coordinated communications with the
University’s external constituencies,
including alumni, parents, donors, friends
and government & elected officials. She
also brings strategic planning expertise
to the Community Foundation.
Ms. Kathy
Getty, Treasurer
is the Senior Executive Vice
President/Regional President Susquehanna
Bank. She has served as President of the
Board and Campaign Chair for the United
Way and President of the YMCA Heritage
Foundation. She is on the Board of The
Greater Cumberland Committee and serves on
numerous other community services and
economic development commissions within
the region.
Mr.
Robert Little Ebert is
the founding donor of the Community Trust Foundation.
His family was the owners of the S.T. Little
Jewelry Store on Baltimore Street in Cumberland,
MD. He has served as Allegany County Commissioner
and has created the Elta Mae and Robert Little
Ebert Family Hope Fund: “To end poverty
one family at a time.”
Dr.
Peter Halmos, Founding Board President
is a cardiologist with Western Md. Health Systems
and also has a private practice. He has
served on numerous community boards, including
the YMCA, Historical and Arts related organizations
and generously supports community initiatives.
Dr. Halmos has also created the Iris and Peter
Halmos Arts Fund with the Community Trust Foundation,
Inc.
Dr. Julianne
Ferris
is Professor Emeritus of Art Education at
the University of Maryland, College Park.
She has served on a variety of art and
civic boards in the Washington, D.C. and
Cumberland areas. Her research and
experience in the leadership of non-profit
organizations benefits the board's
development and operation.
Ms. Deb
Litman
has returned to Allegany County, Maryland
along with her husband and two young
children. She has previous philanthropic
experience working with Community
Foundations and anticipates developing
resources for The Community Trust
Foundation.
Mr. William
Grant
is the Chief Executive Officer and
President of My Bank First United in
Oakland, MD. He is also a graduate of
Duquesne University School of Law Juris
Doctorate. Mr. Grant serves on numerous
boards and supporting many community
services personally as well as through
First United. One of the boards he
serves on is Leadership Maryland.
Mr. Ernest
Gregg
is a Pharmacist and is the Owner of
Gregg’s Pharmacy and has served six terms
as Garrett County Commissioner, the
longest serving commissioner in the
history of Garrett County. He is a very
active member of several civic
organizations and serves on numerous
boards.
Mr. William
Kenny
is the owner/manager of Kenny’s Market
Inc. in Westernport, Md. Mr. Kenny has
served as Allegany County Commissioner,
board member of First United Bank and is
currently President of the Westernport
Revitalization Corporation. Mr. Kenny
enjoys chess, landscaping and
grandchildren.
Ms. Marion
Leonard
Professor Emeritus from Frostburg State
University where she taught in the
graduate School of Business teaching
business, management and accounting. She
is a certified as an instructor in yoga,
Meyers-Briggs Personality Inventory and
“individual/community wellness.”
Ms.
Pamela Ronan is
a registered nurse and is the Perinatal/Lead
Coordinator at the Allegany Health Department
in Cumberland, Md. Ms. Ronan’s interest
and knowledge in education and health services/needs
for families is extremely valuable to the board.
Dr. Wayne
Spiggle
is a Primary Care Internist, Founder of
the Braddock Medical Group and is
currently Mineral County Commissioner.
His avocation is being a farmer in Mineral
County, West Virginia. His special
interests include social justice,
particularly those impacting on health
care, the environment and economic
development.
The
Honorable J. Frederick Sharer has
served on the Court of Special Appeals.
He was also Administrative Judge for Allegany
County Circuit Court. He also served from 1966
to 1980 as the Cumberland city solicitor.
Mr. R.
Terry Stephens is Founder and
President of Terry Stephens & Associates
which does business as Coldwell Banker
Home and Town Realty, and also owns and
operates TS & A Appraisals and Westland
Appraisals. He is President of Keyser
Inn and Potomac Health and Fitness. He is
managing partner of Quail Hill Associates,
as well as Pineview Investments, which
owns Wind Lea Banquet and Conference
Center in Keyser, WV. Terry was named one
of Ten Outstanding Young Marylanders in
1983 for Community and Non-Profit
Fundraising. He has been involved in many
community and civic organizations. He is
married enjoys sports, has three sons and
enjoys watching them at their athletic
events.
Leanne Mazer, Ex-Officio
Leanne Mazer is the Executive Director of
Tri-County Council of Western Maryland, an
Economic Development Commission. TCC is
the administrative arm of the Community
Trust Foundation until it can be sustained
independently. Ms. Mazer is also serves
as the President of the National
Organization of Development
Organizations. In addition she has been a
real asset in utilizing TCC to incubate
resources for the community, both
non-profit and business. She loves wine
tasting and football!
